Apart is a seasonal student publication intent on subverting society’s materialistic, conventional attitudes through humor and satire.
The Summer 2017 issue examines our anxieties as we move through a politically volatile and divisive age, juxtaposing the lightness of leisure against the realities of our present cultural climate. It brings politics and substance to recreational consumerism and incites us to think about the events that populate our daily feeds with slower consideration and humor. This issue focuses and highlights historical and current disregard for censorship and takes an unrepentant politicized stance.
Special thanks to Allen Press, of Lawrence, Kan., for printing our magazine. And thank you Patrick Dooley, for your direction and patience.
