Day 1: Witch Moving out was something Fiona was very excited about, having her own space to hang out with her cat Matilda and practice her witchcraft was a dream come true. Unfortunately the deal she got on her apartment came with a price, her neighbors are so rude! How can someone be so noisy? They’ll rue being so inconsiderate. For now hitting the ceiling with her broom seems to work...sometimes.
Day 2: Black Cat Matilda would be more upset about the current neighbor situation if it weren’t for this new arm chair. Something about it makes her want to sink her claws in and nap for half a century, but she can’t do that to Fiona again.
Day 3: Cryptid Fiona made waaaay too much stew so she invited her friend Linus over to help her eat it. Unfortunately as he was getting there some loud ruckus started upstairs. Fiona went into hysterics and started beating her ceiling with her broomstick mumbling something about how “they’ll rue being so inconsiderate”. Linus doesn’t do well with loud noises and made an excuse to run off to the restroom. He already risked a lot coming over here, it’s very difficult for a Bigfoot to leave his cave. However, some things are worth being seen by humans and Fiona’s stew is one of them. Hopefully the neighbors stop their nonsense soon so he can finally leave the bathroom and eat up the stew before it gets too cold.
Day 4: Mushroom Old apartments are the worst, they always having things growing where they don’t belong. This? This is outright bizarre. Jeff and Nancy have been helping Doc run tests when they’re not working their day jobs. They sure hope they haven’t been disturbing the neighbors with their late night experiments…
Day 5: Laboratory I guess this explains something, but also leaves more questions than it resolved. Does this mean the mushroom is radioactive? Because it definitely looks like the mushroom is radioactive. Doc should know better than to leave experiments unsupervised, also can we mention he’s literally growing a life form in a tube?
Day 6: Ghost Nothing comes between a scientist and his research, not even death. Unfortunately for his neighbors, Doc has been running experiments all through the day and night. Despite this productivity, he has seen very little progress. The gnomes introduced him to sticky notes in an attempt to keep him on track, but he seems to stick them somewhere and forget about them. If it weren’t for the gnomes, this experiment might not be too well contained…
Day 7: Haunted Object Well I’ve heard of haunted dolls, houses, heck even clocks. But a haunted pillow? How does a spirit even haunt a pillow?
Day 8: Yokai Well this explains the haunted pillow. It was just a makuragaeshi flipping pillows again. What a little heathen!
Day 9: Spider Baby That makuragaeshi is definitely a heathen. Poor baby Toby was down for a nap and his mom Gwyneth was taking advantage of the opportunity to make some Choco-Fly cookies. Thankfully she has eight legs otherwise this might have been a disaster.
Day 10: Lagoon Creature Larry promised Felix it was just a new bath bomb he got from Lush. I guess this is what you get when you offer to let a swamp creature crash with you while they’re visiting the city
Day 11: Bat Yeesh, this place is certainly dingy. Larry’s belongings are right at home in all this grime.
Day 12: Vampire Felix loves relaxing every night with a Bloody Mary and a good movie. But while Larry is here he can’t seem to relax. How much is this water bill gonna be next month? Will that awful black goo come out of the grout? He just hopes his clawfoot tub survives the week, he really wants his deposit back.
Day 13: Coffin Naturally Felix’s bedroom is as trendy as he is, albeit none of his rooms are very clean…
Day 14: Skeleton Growing up, Pat always said they felt it was ‘in their bones to sew & when you love your job as much as Pat, not even death can stop you. They’re the best seamstress and tailor in the tri-state area. They can make any garment monster friendly with all the extra arms, holes, legs, or anything else you can imagine or need.
Day 15: Owl Professor Elmer is incredibly particular about his vests. They’re the only article of clothing he can wear due to his large wings. This is why he is Pat’s #1 customer. Pat can either whip a vest up from scratch, or tailor one that Elmer finds while he’s antique shopping. This particular number was from his latest escapade, they just don’t make wool vests like they used to!
Day 16: Goblin Gerald’s favorite part of the day is when he finally finishes all of his homework and gets to continue on his mission to find all of the moons in Mario Odyssey. It’s not very often he gets to be alone seeing as he lives with his best friend Terry (they usually do everything together).
Day 17: Werewolf It’s game day and naturally Terry is hosting. He is the only one with cable or a TV so he always hosts but he doesn’t mind. This particular season is going better than the last one so he and his friends are hyped up on superstition and are doing everything exactly as they’ve done the past 5 games. Lucky jacket on, cheese dip in the microwave for exactly 2 minutes, and soon enough sitting in precisely the same spot on the couch.
Day 18: Rats Stanley, Chet, and Billy are hard at work on snack duty. Billy is making sure the cheese dip is cooked perfectly while Stanley and Chet retrieve the chips from the cabinet. Terry always has to put them on the top shelf now because of superstition and it’s always so hard to reach. Small price to pay when your friend is the only one who pays for cable!
Day 19: Seance Pippa, Maisie, and Dorothy are supposed to be doing their homework, but Maisie wanted to show off the cool Ouija board she found in her grandma’s attic. Pippa’s dad keeps telling her this stuff isn’t for werepups, and she’s starting to think maybe he was right. Is the smoke playing tricks on Dorothy or is this actually working?
Day 20: Serpent Shiloh is a bit of a bookworm...er serpent rather. She only leaves the house to exchange books at the library or to stop in at the bookstore. However it is a bit tough navigating the shelves when you have a terribly long body and don’t even get her started about crossing streets. Sometimes she doesn’t mind rereading books if it means staying inside for another day or two...or three.
Day 21: Alien Bonnie made an unexpected friend after her abduction last year. They didn’t get off to the best start but quickly grew fond of one another. She learned that he absolutely loves peanut butter and jelly and makes sure he stops by every time he swings by earth. She still doesn’t know his name though…
Day 22: Pumpkin Phyllis’ home garden got out of hand after she rescued a wilting pumpkin plant from her friend Dill. He is always killing plants and she couldn’t stand to watch another one go. This one is different however...it’s totally sentient. Phyllis knew better but definitely named her Audrey. This big pumpkin only craves tea and cookies....for now.
Day 23: Monster Phyllis loves her tea time with her newly acquired pumpkin plant, it is an unexpected bonus after laboriously caring for it. Plus she feels way less guilt about all of the cookies she bakes. Maybe she could get used to this whole roommate thing...how do you tell your landlord about this one?
Day 24: Hunter’s Moon When she isn’t gardening, hanging out with her new pumpkin plant or drinking tea, Phyllis is stargazing. She’s a bit of an amateur but it is just for fun. Tonight is the Hunter’s Moon and she is so excited to get a good look at it with her brand new telescope. Her makeshift observatory has been absolutely great, she just had a few more plants to move and it will be done!
Day 25: Dark Forest When monsters and ghouls move from their hometowns and castles, graveyards and lagoons, sacrifices have a bit of a different meaning. This particular tenant wanted the city lifestyle but was NOT going to compromise his house and home. Rent is ridiculous though..so he hopes the nursery down the street doesn’t mind him ‘borrowing’ some trees.
Day 26: Toad When you rescue a frog from the shelter you can’t just leave it behind when you move. No they are a total commitment for life. The fish however? Oh the tenant is just keeping those fresh for dinner.
Day 27: Swamp Thing Since moving to the city, Teddy has discovered the internet...and online shopping. He never knew he could own so many cool things that were so beautiful! Back at the swamp, Teddy used to collect rocks and weird branches but these collectibles are so much more unique!
Day 28: Raven The best time of the day is when Moby gets to stretch his wings and nestle into a new spot
Day 29: Mary Shelley Mary is the only human ever allowed to live in this building. It’s far too dangerous normally, however Mary is unique. You could say it’s an unexpected perk after she wrote her novel…
Day 30: Bride Nothing like a touch of red lipstick to finish off the look! But who are we kidding, that hairstyle is really what brings this look together.
Day 31: Frankenstein’s Monster Nothing like relaxing on the roof and stargazing after a long month. 200 never looked so good.
